Description
Navajo Princess Mangave. This succulent is one of my favorites with variegation that stays clear in the sun. Wide, vanilla margins are set off by deep blue-green centers. The rigid leaves form a low growth pattern that fits a container quite nicely. Small spots near the center is contrasts to the blue green and vanilla color. Compared to ‘Snow Leopard’, ‘Navajo Princess’ have thicker, more heavily toothed leaves.
Mangave is a new cross of Manfreda x Agave. These rare hybrids combine the best of both worlds. The better growth rate and the interesting patterns come from Manfreda. The the refined look comes from the strength of the Agave.

Mangave is a tender perennial or “temperennial” succulent plant that grows best in full sun. Plant in well-drained, dry to average soil in containers just slightly wider than the width of the rosette or plant directly in the ground. In summer when the plants are actively growing, they appreciate a bit of supplemental watering and half-strength fertilizer. They should be grown dry in winter. Mangave is a slower grower, so it will not quickly overtake the space it is allotted in the landscape.
