Zones 9-11. Edible Hibiscus has beautiful defined edible leaves with hints of red throughout the stems. It is pretty enough to have it on display as a prize plant. Bring it indoors in colder regions. The flowers are pale yellow and remininscent of okra and are edible.
Abelmoschus Manihot ( Salad Tree) is mainly cultivated in tropical and subtropical climates. These plants are a tender perennial and can be grown in hardiness zones 9 – 11. Grows to 2 to 10 feet depending on conditions.
